William William Penningroth Penningroth

William "Bill" Penningroth was born June 21, 1927 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was the son of Edward William and Eunice E. Johnson Penningroth. Bill was a 1945 graduate of Tipton High School and attended Iowa State University. He served in the United States Navy. On November 23, 1949, Bill was united in marriage to Mary Jean Rhoads in Mechanicsville, Iowa. He was a farmer and a member of Tipton Rotary and Farm Bureau. Bill is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Penningroth of Tipton; daughter, Lynn (Craig) Emrich of Marion; son, Bruce (Bev) Penningroth of Tipton; grandchildren, Kim (Terry) Mente of Tipton and Angela (Jim) Knox of Melbourne, Florida; great-grandchildren; Ashley, Austin, and Alyssa Mente. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Eunice Penningroth; and sister, Suzanne Dee. A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Bill. . [more]
