He was born July 30, 1924 to the late Jesse Eras Farmer and Anna (Akins) Farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; his twin brother, Clarence Farmer, Carl Farmer, Herbert Farmer and his sisters; Lilly Mines and Frances Mason. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Lillian Payne Farmer, son, Randy Farmer of Cowan, TN, daughter, Pamela (Gary) Boughton of Cowan, TN, grandson, John Fraker, Jr. of Cowan, TN, granddaughter, Jennifer Boughton of Cowan, TN, great-grandson, Phillip Boughton, great-granddaughters Paige and Jordan Stevens all of Cowan, TN, Jessica and Christy Fraker, and a great great grandson Jadrec Fraker all of San Diego, CA, brother, Laster (Frances) Farmer of Nashville, TN, sisters, Peggy Lillicrap of Nashville, TN, Mary Miller of Mt. He worked at Marquette Cement plant in Cowan. He served in the Marines during WWII and was a Lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #1893. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Rocky Whray and Rev. Bobby Hancock officiating. Interment will be in Cowan Montgomery Cemetery, Cowan, TN.
