Rowena Brewer Bishop

Mrs. Bishop passed away at home surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Floyd Brewer and Virgie Kindred Brewer and her husband of 67 years, James Orville Bishop. She is survived by daughters, Dot Sullenger, Brenda (Dennis) Burton and Cindy (Dwight) Latham; son, Jeff (Kelly) Bishop; sisters, Kate Sublett, Evelyn Putman and Joyce Hill; brother, Joseph F. Brewer, II; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Sunday at Huntland First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, June 22, 2009 at Huntland First Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Plunkett officiating. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Sullenger, Josh Bishop, Chris Latham, Cody Bishop, Kyle Commers, Peanut Ashley and Jason Bradley.[more]
