Thomas Edward Spencer

Thomas Edward Spencer, age 85 of Winchester, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016. He was a longtime member and elder of Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church and after retiring, Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Edward had a deep love for his family and his farm. Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert Lee Spencer Sr. and Lillie Mae Pless Spencer; sisters, Hazel Hopkins, Daisy Renegar, Ruby Burt and Helen Taylor; and grandchildren, Jodi Renee Crownover and Cody Clay Crosslin. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Aline Tucker Spencer; daughters, Peggy Crownover and Kathy Crosslin; grandchildren, Spencer Lee (Kristy) Crownover, Jada (Terry) Garrison; great-grandsons, Hunter Lee Crownover, Spencer Tyler Crownover and Joshua Michael Garrison; brother, R. L. Spencer Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Dr. Michael Clark and Dr. Joe Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery.
