Daniel Eugene Lynch was born January 28, 1934 in Bancroft, son of Daniel and Laura (Sandschulte) Lynch. He grew up in the Seneca area where he attended grade school. His family moved to Mason City and he graduated from Holy Family High School in 1952. Dan then served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Dan attended DeVry Institute in Chicago, IL and after graduation he was employed at Kleinschmidt a division of Smith-Corona Merchant of Deerfield, IL. He later worked for Bellair Express retiring to Mason City in 1994. Dan loved to golf and fish and was an avid fan of professional sports.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert Lynch of Seneca and James Lynch and his wife Marilyn of Redfield; a two sisters-in-law, Valeria Lynch of Bancroft and Carol Lynch of Washington; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Wayne, Dennis, and Paul; and three sisters, Kathleen Lynch, Betty Lynch, and Helen Calvert.
