LeRoy Schulz

LeRoy Schulz was born on February 12, 1928, in Livingston Co. Illinois, to Chris and Lucille Peterson Schulz, Sr. He received his education in the Jones country school in Livingston County. After his schooling, LeRoy helped his family on the farm. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. LeRoy was married to Belva Parsons on February 19, 1949, at Loretta, Illinois. The couple farmed in Illinois. LeRoy again served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his return from the service, LeRoy continued farming and driving a truck. LeRoy and Belva moved to the Corwith, Iowa area in the mid 1950's, where LeRoy farmed until 1976. He continued driving a truck until August of 2006. LeRoy enjoyed woodworking and made many clocks and tables. He also enjoyed fishing and working on Volkswagons. LeRoy died on Thursday, January 11, 2007, at Patterson, California. He was 78.
