Noble, Codie (wife Erica) Alford, and Kaylie Wilson; great great grandchildren, Christian Springer, Isabelle Springer, William Springer, Marshall Noble, Theodore Noble, and Westley Alford. She also leaves her companion and love of her life, her dog, Tye. Life or death only occurs when the soul arrives or leaves the body. It happens in the blink of an eye. The one second it took for Doris's soul to leave her body, and the huge number of seconds she had lived, and no matter how horrible, how painful that the one second of her death was; it was nothing compared with the millions of joyous seconds of her life. So I will allow myself to grieve, but not for long. It will not be fair to my mother by letting that one second overcome the millions of seconds we all had with her. The death means little, the days we had mean everything. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2017, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Family and Friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday. A Special Thanks to Doctor Milhem for the many years of service to her and the wonderful staff on the fifth and sixth floors at I U Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
