Phil was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Churchville and he was active in the Democratic Party. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and camping. Above all else, he loved his family and cherished time spent with them.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Catherine Bussanmas of Winterset, his children, Steven (Gayle) Bussanmas of Lititz, PA, Debra (Gordon 'Chip') Darling of Winterset, Diane (John) Lewis of Mendota Heights, MN, eight grandchildren, Rachel (George) Mountis, Phillip Bussanmas, Trevor (Maryam) Darling, Lindsay Darling, Nathan Darling, Hannah Lewis, Jenna Lewis and Thomas Lewis; three great grandchildren, Michael Alexander Mountis, Mason Steven Mountis and Leo Phillip Mountis; siblings, Joan Bailiff of Wick, Jack (Teresa) Bussanmas of Norwalk, Jerry (Alice) Bussanmas of Bevington, Otto (Maxine) Bussanmas of Bevington, extended family and a host of friends.He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Bussanmas, parents, James and Aletha Bussanmas and a brother, James Bussanmas.
