casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church on Friday morning, where visitation will resume at 9:30 a.m., and continue until the time of the funeral mass.

Henry, the youngest of 11 children, was born on October 5, 1926 at Dedham, Iowa; the son of Ludwig and Mary Ann (Wiskus) Seidl. He attended St. Joseph School in Dedham. At 18 years of age, he was drafted into the United States Navy during World War II, and was honorably discharged on July 14, 1946.
On January 31, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willey, Henry was united in marriage to Bernilda Brincks, daughter of Joseph A. and Mary (Von Bon) Brincks. The couple made their home in Carroll for their entire married life. Henry worked for the Pepsi-Cola Company in Carroll for 42 years and 26 days, starting on September 9, 1949, and retiring on October 4, 1991. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Spirit Men's Club, Holy Spirit Choir, and the Carroll American Legion. Henry dearly loved his family, and also enjoyed dancing, traveling, wood working, golfing and playing cards.
Henry is survived by his five children and their spouses: Vern (Karen) Seidl of Clive, Donna (Glen) Eickman of Manning, Mary Lou (Brad) Nichols of Carroll, Bob (Mary Beth) Seidl of Urbandale, Betty (Dave) Onken of Lidderdale; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a sister Mary Meyer of Carroll, and a special friend Iola Hoogestraat of Carroll. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law: Delores (Delbert) Kasperbauer of Carroll, and Diane Brincks of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bernilda on October 31, 2002; one grandchild: Jessica Eickman; five sisters: Alvina (John) Bies, Emma (Merlin) Nair, Martha (Keith) Jenkens, Eleanora (Frank) Mayer, and Hilda (Bill) Dillon. Four Brothers: Rubert (Leona) Seidl, George Seidl, Ludwig, Jr. "Hookie" (Florence) Seidl, Joseph (Phyllis) Seidl. He was also preceded in death by his parents-in-law, and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Frank Meyer, Leonard (Louise Kennebeck) Brincks, Bernadine (Norbert) Rust, Agatha (Arnold) Hackfort, Roceal (Cy) Knobbe, Alphons "Bud" (Ruth) Brincks, Melvina (Lawrence) Hahn and Donald Brincks.
