Edwin "Perry" Miller, 95, of Brighton, died on October 10, 2017 in Brighton. He was born on June 15, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska to John H. and Joy (Mills) Miller. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1940 and attended the University of Nebraska for one year before being drafted into the US Air Corps. There he served in WWII as a B25 Pilot Trainer. Perry married Janet Wetzel on February 14, 1941 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in 1971. He later married Jewel White in April of 1977 in Brighton.
Perry has lived in Brighton since 1971, an original homeowner of the Van Aire community. He was a member of the Brighton United Methodist Church; the Brighton Rotary Club; and the Flying Lunch Bunch. Flying was a life-long love of Perry's, a pilot since the age of 16 achieving his goal in 1976 of owning a Staggerwing Beech. He spent numerous years racing sports cars and was a member of the Sports Car Club of America. Perry owned and operated Denver Imported Cars for many years. andchildren and his love of fast cars in his daughter, Nancy. He was a loving and caring grandfather and a fantastic father.
Survivors include his wife Jewel; daughter, Nancy (Michael Biglan) Miller of Brighton; step-children, Gary, Diane, Cindy and David; brother, Dick (Kaye) Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his first wife, Janet in 1971 and grandson, Case Densmore in 2000.
Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Brighton United Methodist Church, Brighton, Colorado.
