rked as a sales person for Capital Sanitary Supply where she eventually retired in 2012. Sandy really enjoyed her time with Harold, horseback riding and camping, attending car shows, family and friends get togethers and just being at home in the country. She loved getting back to Wisconsin from time to time to spend time with her family. At these gatherings you could usually find her and her brothers around a table of buck euchre. She loved beating them! She loved watching the Green Bay Packers, The Iowa Hawkeyes, and NASCAR but what was the highlight of her life was spending time with her 8 grandchildren. Her energetic and loving personality will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Harold of 22 years; her sons, Mike (Lynn) Elrod of Farmington, Minnesota, Will Elrod of Newton, Iowa, Terry (Jen) Beyer of Newton, Iowa, and Rick Beyer of Runnells, Iowa; her grandchildren, Sydney and Cyrus Elrod, Isaac and Jayden Elrod, Colton and Jacey Beyer and Chase and Dylan Beyer; her brothers, Dan (Dee Dee) Platteter. Tom (Kelly) Platteter, Joe (Lynn) Platteter and Bob (Kim) Platteter all of Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Dave (Linda) Beyer of Prairie City; mother-in-law, Berdena of Pleasant Hill and many nieces, nephews, extended families and many friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, John Beyer. The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
