her friends at Fairway Ridge in Rochester. Dorothy's love of travel began in 1972 when her and Dick took their first trip to Hawaii. They subsequently traveled to Hawaii three more times and to many locations throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. Dorothy also enjoyed travelling around the world to places such as Nova Scotia, Panama, Portugal, Spain, China, Thailand, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, and Israel. Dorothy interests included snowmobiling, camping, reading, cooking, cardmaking, car races (especially the Wissota 100 in Cedar Lake, WI), and collecting antiques. Dorothy is survived by her husband Richard; brothers - Darrell (Judy) and David; sister - Mary (Roger) Burt; children - Jean (Larry) of Oronoco, Scott (Silvia) of San Diego, and Mark (Sharon) of Brainerd; grandchildren - Jake of San Diego, Carl (Jessica) of Roseville, Sara (Nick) Amys of St. Croix, USVI, and Kevin of Fayetteville, NC; great grandchildren - Boaz and Naomi. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Frances Hander and her sister-in-law Carol Hander. A Funeral service will be held at the Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester on Saturday, October 21st at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
