ber of the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, certified nationally as a Structural Engineer by the Structural Engineers Certification Board. In 2004 he was named "Outstanding Engineer of the Year" by the Tullahoma Chapter of the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers. He was also a member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Surveyors and the Surveyor's Historical Society. He loved airplanes all his life, was a licensed pilot, having an airfield on his farm where he hangared his planes. He also enjoyed scuba diving, kayaking, working on his jeeps and World War II vehicles, and being in the woods with his dogs. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Bryan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Sewanee School, Ga. Tech, Trinity Episcopal Church, Serenity House, Tullahoma, the Sam H.
