He grew up on a farm with 5 brothers, Dan, Virgil, Ron, Marvin & Bob and 3 sisters Bernadine, Marlene, and Linda. Leslie was united in marriage to his wife and life partner for more than 59 years, Mary Louise Wagner. cted cars, antiques, tools, and more. He loved the sport of racing and had seasonal seats from the start of the Kansas City Speedway. Whenever possible he attended most races in person, with his son, brothers and business associates. He liked visiting with friends, fishing, & gardening. He and son Mike enjoyed 4 wheel drive pickup pulling in the 70's. They won lots of trophies and had many fans! Some of you will remember the Snoopy pulling truck. Red liked the Peanuts comic and decided Snoopy on his dog house would be his mascot. This would begin the snoopy legacy which also served to hide his specially designed hitch!! Red loved the spring time, when he would successfully hunt mushrooms. Sometimes Mary would be up for hours cleaning his prizes. He also loved to deer hunt in the winter. When his beloved wife, Mary, was diagnosed with dementia, he would devote his time to her care. He was a patient, kind and loving caregiver. Leslie is survived by his wife Mary Louise (Wagner) Mefferd, son Michael and Lonnie Mefferd, daughters: Odelia and Mike Miller and Phyllis and Randy Lich. Grandchildren: Brandy and John Netty, Drew Mefferd, James Miller, Cory and Jill Cunard, Jonathan and Molly Miller. Great Grandchildren: Elisha Cunard and Ezra Miller. Brothers: Virgil, Ron, Marv, and Bob. Sisters: Bernadine, Marlene and Linda.
