Virginia Clark, 73, of Laurel, passed away at Forrest General Hospital on October 14, 2017.
Funeral services will be at Memory Chapel, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. and Bro. Tim Weems will officiate.
She moved here in 1977 and she loved her grandchildren. She was a co-founder of First Call, loved her church and community, loved helping others and very generous. She was a published poet and in her later years an avid shopper. She never met a stranger, and considered everyone a part of her family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Roque Galindo; her mother, Lillander McDonald; husbands, Cleveland H. Smith, and John D. Clark; son, Christopher Burke Clark; brother, John F. Hines; and grand-daughter, Bryanna Smith.
She is survived by her three sons, Terry L. Smith Sr. (Cristy) of Laurel; Tim Clark (Tiffany) of Columbia, and Keith Clark (Nelson T. Gunn) of New Orleans; two daughters, Susan Smith of Hattie...[more]
