orld class seamstress. When Sam's health began to fail, she cared for him at home for 13 years. Sam passed away in 2008. Just before she turned 90, Geneva moved to Colorado, where she enjoyed family, neighbors, friends, and a beautiful home in Longmont.
Geneva was a woman of strong faith. She enjoyed her Bible study. She liked animals and was especially fond of her dogs throughout her life. Her grand dog "Chloe darlin'" brought her much joy and many smiles, even at the end of her life. She enjoyed her new neighborhood and was often seen riding her three wheeled bicycle. She was quick to smile, slow to anger, and had a kind heart. As her own health began to fail, her ever present compassion for others always shone through. She always asked about others even if she wasn't having a good day. She will be missed.
Her loving family includes: Children: Mike Gill and his wife Debbie, Patricia Gill, Paul Gill, and Sammie Jones. Grandchildren: Tiffany Smith (Bryan), David Gill, Rob Jones (Jaye), Casey Jones (Gail Parker) and greatgrandchildren: Audrey Smith, Stephen Jones, and Sean Jones. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Kari Schoenwald, whom she considered her "other kid."
She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Gill, her parents Lillie and Bernice Rasco, brothers Virgil, Grady, Walter, and Hubert, and sisters Velma and Elaine.
Geneva and her family want to thank Halcyon Hospice and Home Instead for their compassionate care in her last days.
