vel with her husband Pat and their friends and especially loved the ocean. She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. She loved the political process and was honored to be part of it.
Cheryll graduated from Newton High School in Newton, Iowa. She worked at several banks and for Glenwood Community Schools before being elected as Mills County Auditor in 1988 and winning re-election two more times. In 1999 she became Deputy Auditor for Pottawattamie County, retiring in 2007.
Living most of her adult life in Mills County, Cheryll?'s love of helping others led her to be involved in numerous community groups including director of the Pottawattamie County Red Cross, Holy Rosary Catholic Church Rosary Altar Society, Glenwood Community High School Ram Booster Club, director and volunteer at the Mills County Storehouse.
Visitation will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Glenwood, Iowa, October 22, 2017, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. with a prayer service to follow. A funeral mass will be held October 23, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be private. Memorials are suggested to Mills County Relay for Life, American Red Cross of Nebraska and Southwest Iowa Mills County Storehouse, Saint Albert Catholic Schools Fine Arts Department in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
