Joan L. Steil

Joan L. (Riley) Steil, 68, formerly of Algona, died Monday at Floyd Valley Hospital, Le Mars. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery, Algona, with Father Paul Eisele officiating. Joan L. Steil was born June 26, 1939 in Sioux City, Iowa, the sixth of seven children of Elmer and Rose Riley. She graduated from Le Mars High School in 1957. Joan was united in marriage to George Steil in 1965. They made their home in Algona. She is survived by one son, Stacy Steil of Le Mars; three step-children, Elizabeth McConnell and her husband Duke of Licking, MO, George C. Steil and his wife Jeanie of Jacksonville, FL, and Orland Steil of Algona. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband George on July 6, 1999. [more]
