Fariborz Peydaye Saheli passed away peacefully in Federal Way, Washington on October 17, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his daughter Heidi Saheli, former wife and friend Beatrice Saheli, brothers Faramarz Saheli and Mahmoud Saheli as well as several nieces and nephews.
Fari was born on February 8, 1940 in Anzeli, Iran. He graduated in Iran with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree and later worked as a site engineer on a hydroelectric dam. He came to the United States where he attended Graduate School at Colorado State University receiving his second Master's Degree and later his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. Fari married Beatrice in 1968 and became a US citizen in 1973. Their daughter, Heidi, was born in 1971. Fari retired from Boeing after 22 years of service and then worked for several aerospace firms across the United States as a contract engineer and consultant.
Fari enjoyed fishing, hiking, tennis, skiing, and soccer. He played, coached, and refereed adult and youth soccer. Fari skied well into his late 60's with his daughter Heidi. He became a Christian in 2009 and will be missed by his church family, friends, and other family memb...[more]
