In quiet times, she enjoyed tending to her flowers, doing crossword puzzles, and reading. Nola R. Cooper died Friday evening, May 2, 2008 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City following a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 60. She is survived by her husband Norman of Titonka; two children, Brock and his wife Dana of Des Moines, and Maggie of Ventura; her mother, Audrey Boekelman of Titonka; and two sisters, Rhonda Vinsand and her husband Ronny of Humboldt and Laura Phelps and her husband Doug of Titonka. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Kenneth Cooper and his wife Lois of Lime Springs; a brother-in-law, Roger Cooper and his wife Karen of Aberdeen, SD; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Boekelman on September 25, 2006; and her mother-in-law, Louise Cooper.
