Harrison Lewis, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born April 14, 1933 to his beloved Mother, Mary Benson and father Richmon Lewis in Hayneville, Alabama; the sixth of twelve children. He moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1952, and met his beautiful bride, Estella Jean Mays, in 1954. This loving union would last for 56 years and resulted in the births of six daughters, whom he loved dearly. Harrison began his life-long career in the automotive industry, where he was employed at General Motors in Saginaw, Michigan. A dedicated employee, he received many accommodations for his perfect attendance, punctuality and overall job performance, until retiring in 1984.
Harrison served many years as a dedicated member of the International Masons, where he’d been an active leader, serving several terms as Worshipful Master.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 12-2pm at Crown Hill Funeral Home (700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208), with services at 2pm. Entombment to immediately follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
