Elizabeth Ann Thomson Conner went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2017 at the age of 90. She was born on May 9, 1927 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Jack Andersen Thomson and Esther Allison Thomson. She was the granddaughter of Thomas Hamilton Thomson who she was extremely close to and the niece of John Allison, Esther’s brother.
She attended School 84 in Indianapolis, and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1944. She graduated from Stephens College in Missouri in 1946. She was a member of the Delta Chi Delta sorority and Stephens League.
She married Henry Clay Conner, Jr. on June 25, 1946 at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception at Meridian Hills Country Club. She was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), and the Propylaeum.
Married at age 19 she had her four sons by the age of 27 and dedicated her life to raising her sons and running a wonderful household. Her mother and father raised her to be socially gracious and to act like a true lady. She was a very good ballroom dancer which she enjoyed with her husband Clay.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended Central Baptist Church. Later in her life she enjoyed the preaching of Charles Stanley which she watched faithfully on TV.
She is survived by her four sons, H. Clay Conner, III, Jack T. Conner (Jana), James H. Conner (Christine) and Thomas H. Conner (Bobbi), twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She will be buried at Crown Hill Cemetery after a private ceremony on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
