Elizabeth “Shirley” Walker was born on June 28, 1926 in Fairfield, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Renner Belmar Livers. The 4th of 9 children, she moved to Indianapolis with her parents and siblings.
Elizabeth accepted Christ at an early age, she grew up at Second Baptist Church and later attended Grace Apostolic Church with her sister Lucille Buton. Elizabeth attended I.P.S. #17 and Cripus Attucks.
Elizabeth was employed at Chevrolet as an parts inspector and retired in 2002 after 30 years of faithful service.
Elizabeth was known for spending quality time with her sister and nieces, traveling, shopping, dining out but most of all having family gatherings at her house. She was so family-oriented, that when the family grew larger, a bigger facility was rented so everybody could dance and simply enjoy each other. Elizabeth favorite song is “You got to give it up” by Marvin Gay.
Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her grandchildren, who she cherished and loved.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories son, Jeffrey Alvin Walker Sr., (Armayllis), grandsons; Jeffrey Alvin Walker Jr., Jay Alvin Walker, great-grandchildren; Jalaya Walker, Janiya Walker, DeJae Reed, sisters; Emma Norris, Mary Bass, Roxy Stevens (Arthur), brother, Thomas Livers and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Crown Hill Funeral Home, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. Burial to immediately follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
