Earl Gorden Jr. was born on February 8, 1939 to Earl and Mary Richardson Gorden in Saulsbury, Tennessee. He accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Elliott Chapel MBC church in Saulsbury, Tennessee.
Earl graduated from Allen White in Whiteville, Tennessee. He remained home for several years, and then he married his high school sweetheart, Elma Jean Graham. They relocated to Indianapolis, Indianapolis in 1960 and to this union two children were born: Errol and Eretha. He was known as “Ninnie” to his family and friends.
Earl was employed at Allison Transmissions for 42 years. He retired in 2004. After retirement, he enjoyed listening to music especially quartet singing, baseball, playing cards, and being neat and well-dressed, hanging out with friends, and spending time with family, especially his children.

and Shirley Sain, two brothers-in-law Jerry Graham and Milton Graham, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
