Mrs. Mayme Whitlock

Mayme Ladd Cameron Whitlock was born in Trigg County, KY to the late Ruben D. Ladd and Mayme Lee Froman Ladd, on April 12, 1917. She was the 9th child of 14 children who preceded her in death. She grew to childhood, attended public schools, and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She also attended Clark College in Indianapolis, IN. She was married to James L. Cameron and one son was born (Robert Lester Cameron) Indianapolis, IN, both deceased. She was later married to James E. Whitlock for 53 years who passed December 3, 2000. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She is survived by Daughter Valerie Miller, five grandchildren; Marcia (Robert) Brown-Brooks, Dana (Estell) Coe, Karyn (David) Marshall, Kevyn Cameron, Darel Miller, Special Daughter and Son in Law Betty and William Polin, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
