Donna Moore Roper

Donna Moore Roper, age 68 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was born July 18, 1945 in Winchester; the daughter of the late J.C. and Marie (Gunn) Moore. Ms. Roper was a school teacher and retired from the Davidson County school system after more than thirty years. After retiring, she also worked several years for the Tennessee Department of Education. Ms. Roper was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Ann Walker. Surviving are son, Jeff (Tasha) Roper of Winnetka, CA; grandsons, Logan and Mason Roper; sisters, Linda (Larry) Jones of Winchester, TN and Pat Van Santen of Winchester, TN; brother-in-law, Harry Walker of Winchester, TN; nephew, Billy (Jolene) Hasty of Winchester, TN; nieces, Heather (Craig) Eslick of Winchester, TN and Christina (David) Alcorn of Murfreesboro, TN; great-nieces, Leslee Hasty and Kailyn Marie Hasty; great-nephews, Camden, Carson and Cooper Eslick; and many, many friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 31, 2014 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Glann Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Winchester Memorial Park, Winchester, TN.
