Danny Dale Brown

Danny Brown went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 7, 2013. He was surrounded by his Reverend, family and friends. His loving daughter Kristy and wife Pamela survive him. He was preceded in death by his father, James Richard Brown, Jr. and mother, Rosa Ella Brown. Other survivors are an uncle, Ernest (Wilma) Brown and an aunt, Doolie (Bob) Badcock, and many cousins from Indiana. He was also survived by a brother-in-law, Carter (Judy) Smith, sisters-in-law, Patsy Rigsby and Sue (Ted) Williams; nieces, Brandi Rigsby, Jill Rigsby, Kristen (Brent) Smith and Susie Dial; nephews, B.J. (Mitzi) Rigsby, Jordan (Kelly) Williams, Teddy (Shannon) Williams and several great-nieces and nephews including special great-nephews, Trip and David Rigsby. Danny was born in Indiana and moved to Estill Springs when he was 5 years old. He was a 1965 graduate of Franklin County High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1970 from M.T.S.U. He obtained his Masters degree in administration and supervision from M.T.S.U. and completed the course work for his Doctorate of Education at the University of Alabama. istant principal at F.C. High School for more than 3 years. He was Principal at Rock Creek School for 31 years and the Superintendent of F.C. Schools from 1996 - 2000. In 1999 he was named Southeast District Superintendent of the Year. He was a member of a number of professional organizations. He was a member and Elder of the Owens Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He made a huge impact on the children of Franklin County. His love of teaching children carried over to his love for his great-nephews, Trip and David Rigsby. As a little boy, he started his lifelong love of fishing and hunting. His greatest joy was his daughter, Kristy. He loved spending time with his family and all his treasured friends. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Reverend Elizabeth Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Owens Chapel C.P. Church, P.O. Box 532, Winchester, TN 37398; or the Multi-County Cancer Support Network.
