Helen Marguerite Cruze Flippin

Helen Marguerite Cruze Flippin of Decherd passed on to be with her Lord on May 31, 2013. Mrs. Flippin began her remarkable ninety-nine years born at home on December 27, 1913, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Known for the masses of daffodils which bloomed in her garden every spring, Mrs. Flippin was a graceful woman who loved her family, her church, her friends and Lady Vol basketball. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Peter John Flippin, Jr., her parents, Della B. Cruze and Charles C. Cruze, Sr., and her brother Charles C. Cruze, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Helen McGill (Tom); grandchildren Delanna McGill Rhoton (Troy) and Brant McGill (Emily); great-grand children Riley Rhoton, Reagan Rhoton and Woods McGill; nieces Pat Duncan of Sharps Chapel, TN, Gail Hatcher of Knoxville, TN, Betsy Wriggins of Pittman, NJ, Carr McCalla of La Fayette, LA, Drew Henwood of San Francisco, CA, Randy Henwood of Andover, KS and Lee Henwood of Germantown, TN.
