Preceding her in death were her parents, Sidney Crook and Mary Bartlett Crook; husband, James Robert Staten; brothers, George, Raymond and Sammy Joe Darvin; sisters, Elease Copeland, Willie Belle Rutledge, Mary Catherine and Nola Darvin and Ann Bradley. Survivors include sons, James Staten of Sewanee, Ronald (Janice) Staten of Murfreesboro, Samuel Staten of Sewanee and Kenneth Staten of Winchester; daughters, Sharon McCamey of Decherd, Pamela (Clinton) Taylor of Cowan, Bernadine (Charles) Ballard of Sewanee; brother, Caleb (Sue) Darvin of Nashville; sister, Henrietta Staten; sisters-in-law, Sarah Taylor and Ella Staten; beloved brother-in-law, Curtis Bradley; devoted son-in-law, Charles Ballard; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; two beloved daughters, Sonya Robinson and Shore Griffin; as well as a host of other devoted and beloved friends.
