Doris Marie Moore

Doris Marie Moore, age 83 of Winchester, passed away November 12, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center. She was a retired teacher. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alfred Sterling Syler, Sr. and Annie B. Maxwell Syler; husband, Preston Moore; brothers, Varnell Syler, Murrell Syler and Sterling Syler, Jr; and sisters, Mary Clyde Griffith, Lillian Bell and Evelyn Elliott. Survivors include her sisters, Juanita Syler and Jewel Syler of Winchester; devoted nieces and nephews, Sandy Elliott of Winchester, Anne (Robert) Sotherland of Manchester, Thomas "Sonny" (Luba) Elliott of Winchester and Gerald (Susie) Elliott of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews. Visitation is 6-8 PM Thursday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, November 16, 2012 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with interment at Winchester City Cemetery.
