She was born January 15, 1919 in Belvidere; the daughter of the late Lee and Lizzie (Neal) Ruch. Mrs. Atkinson was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alexis Atkinson, II, and brothers, Lee Neal and John William Ruch. Surviving are sons, Henry (Elisa) Atkinson of Lebanon, TN and Richard (Jackie) Atkinson of Belvidere, TN, daughter, Betty Syler of Huntland, TN, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Mike Robertson officiating. Interment will be in Maxwell Cemetery, Belvidere, TN.
