Margaret Gingerich

Interment: West Bend Cemetery ~ West Bend, Iowa Margaret Emma Marie Gingerich was born July 5, 1922, in Whittemore, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Kroeger) Braatz. She grew up in Whittemore where she attended St. Paul's Lutheran School. On September 27, 1942, Margaret was united in marriage to Clyde Gingerich in Whittemore. After their marriage Clyde was serving in the military and upon his honorable discharge they settled in West Bend. In 1971, they moved to Algona where Margaret did a lot of babysitting. Margaret enjoyed spending her time quilting, sewing, cooking, baking and babysitting. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, Lutheran Layman's League, Good Samaritan Society Auxiliary and the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. Margaret died Saturday, June 26, 2010, at the Algona Manor Care Center. She was 87.
