Bob Thompson

Interment ~ Riverview Cemetery ~ Algona Robert James Thompson was born December 2, 1955, in Algona, Iowa, to William and Mary Ann (Davis) Thompson. Bob graduated from West High School in Sioux City, Iowa. He married Joyce DeVall on June 23, 1973, in Sioux City. From this union was born Sally, Michael, Matthew and Sherry. Bob worked at a variety of jobs before working at Snap-On Tools in Algona for sixteen years. At the time of his death, he was working for Speedy Rooter in Sioux City. Bob enjoyed shooting pool, playing darts, fishing and camping but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Since living in Sioux City, he was able to spend special time with his granddaughter Kaylee. Bob died on Sunday July 11, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City at the age of 54. Survivors include his children, Sally and husband Jim Thomas of Norfolk, Nebraska; Michael Thompson and wife Jane of Sioux City, Iowa; Matthew Thompson and wife Kara of South Sioux City, Nebraska and Sherry Thompson of Sioux City, Iowa; as well as ten grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, Schauntel, Nathan, Jamie, Jennifer, Jessica, Kaylee, Ethan and Michael.
