Wanda Lee Finney

Wanda Lee (Hill) Finney, age 79 of Decherd, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 29, 2010, at her home. She was born Wednesday, April 1, 1931 in Hillsboro; the daughter of the late Allen and Addie (Greenlee) Hill. She was a very active member of the Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Gum Creek Community. She was an artist, a horticulturist, a school teacher and a beautician, but most of all, she was loving to her family. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Elroy Finney; son, Dennis Finney of Decherd, TN; daughter, Brenda (Mark) Fischer of Murfreesboro; sister, Verty Hill Gilmer of Hillsboro, TN; grandchildren, Heather Panter, Drew (Ginger) Panter, Holly Finney and Lucas Finney; great-grandchild, Braylon Panter and six nieces. Loving Caregivers were Sarah Gipson, Florence Finney, Cuba Finney, Sandra Hill, Georgia Partin, Barbara Roberson, and Linda Trussell. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Coyle Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Gum Creek Cemetery, Decherd, TN.
