David Alden Woodall, age 77 of Decherd, passed away June 5, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of Greenhaw Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. A former 4-H er and a farmer, Alden served in various agri-related organizations. He was a president of the Franklin Farmer's Co-op Board and a member of the public relations committee at First National Bank. He served in the US Army stationed in Germany. Preceding him in death were his parents, Wesley Velon Woodall and Trophy Boles Woodall. Survivors include his wife, Betty Meeks Woodall of Decherd; sisters, Earline (Jim) McColloch of Viola, TN and Virginia Woodall of Decherd; niece, Sarah (Jon) Utz of Germantown, MD; nephews, Tom (Pam) McColloch of Morrison, TN and David (Stefanie) McColloch of Viola, TN; brother-in-law, Norman Meeks and family; sister-in-law, Frances Meeks; brother-in-law, Robert Walter Meeks and family. Visitation 5-8 PM Sunday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday, June 7, 2010 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Donald Gregory officiating.
