John Edward Zimmerman, age 86 of Winchester passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Southern Tennessee Skilled Care in Winchester. He was the son of the late John H. & Matilda (Liechty) Zimmerman. He was a long time dairy farmer, Secretary/Treasurer for the Holstein Association, and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Martha Zimmerman; one Daughter, Rita (Allen) Parker of Pulaski; three sons, Eddie Zimmerman of Winchester, Bob (Debbie) Zimmerman of Winchester and Bill (Sherry) Zimmerman of Gaffney, SC; ten grandchildren, Chip (Becky) Zimmerman, Alana (Randy) Scruggs, Alicia (Donald) Blankenship, Julie (Wesley) Slater, Tyler, Perry, Alex, Ashley, Anne, and Andrew Zimmerman; three great- grand children Parker and John Carter Scruggs, & Zoe Zimmerman; and two brothers, Walter (Bettye) Zimmerman and Fred (Dottie) Zimmerman, both of Winchester. Winchester, TN Mr. Zimmerman is preceded in death by brother, Murrell Zimmerman; three sisters, Bessie Zimmerman Smith, Mary Zimmerman Upchurch, and Rosa Mae Zimmerman Reed; and grandson Dean Zimmerman. neral Home. Funeral service will be at Moore-Cortner Chapel at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Randy Brown and Rev. J.D. Spencer will be officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Dean Zimmerman FCA Memorial Scholarship Fund or the First United Methodist Church of Winchester.
