8. Through Winnebago, Ernest started a lawn mowing business which became very successful, and his children dubbed him the ìMow Kingî. Ernest loved spending time with his family ñ he was a wonderful father and grandfather. He enjoyed working outside and spending time with nature and the animals and he especially enjoyed driving his John Deere Gator. He was a member of Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, the VFW and the American Legion. Left to cherish his memory are: his wife Shirley of Fertile, Iowa; Gary (Linda) Henning of Stevensville, MT; Ernie (Tina) Henning Jr. of Forest City, Iowa; Marion (Gary) Prevot of Lakewood, WA; Robert Henning of Forest City, Iowa; Herman (Marlene) Henning of Leland, Iowa; Doug (Ruth) Henning of Fertile, Iowa; Sherry (Greg) Flugum of Forest City, Iowa. Also surviving are sisters Pearl Waites of Washington, Michigan and Lene Wallace of Wadena, Minnesota, twin brother Ervin Henning of Lake Mills, Iowa, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces an nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 5 sisters: Julia Kreitlow, Emma Spitz, Lucy Bravick, Gertie Wepel, Annie Gibbs and 2 brothers, Earl and Jule Henning.
