Annie Ruth Douglas Emery

Annie Ruth Douglas Emery, age 84 of Cowan, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Golden Living Mountain View. A native of Franklin County, she was born on November 10, 1931 in Cowan to the late Miles Henry and Ernest Bradley Douglas. Mrs. Emery enjoyed doing puzzle books, watching western movies, cooking, and sewing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Emery; brothers, Elmore, Clifford, Bob, Bill, Willard, Delmere, and Harold Douglas; and sisters, Elsie Steele and Ailene Barnett. Mrs. Emery is survived by her son, Michael Joseph Emery of Cowan; devoted friend, Genevieve H. Gurley; sister-in-law, Shirley Douglas; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
