Adolphe F. Sterken age 94, of Tullahoma, passed away July 15, 2017. He was born on November 27, 1922 in Ocean Springs, MS to the late Edward J. Sterken and Frances A. Muller Sterken. Mr. Sterken is a 1941 class graduate from the Catholic High School in Biloxi, MS. He served in the U.S. Army from March 1943 to March 1946 as a structural draftsman in a Engineer Combat Battalion in England and in many places in Europe while participating in military operations of World War II. After returning, Ingalls Ship Building Corp as a Draftsman for several months before entering Mississippi State College on G.I. Bill where he received his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. In January 1950 to November 1955 he worked for the U.S. TVA as a structural design engineer. While working for the TVA he fell in love with an engineering aide and fellow employee Marie Conaway. In late 1955 they moved to Tullahoma TN where Mr. Sterken worked for AERO, Inc at AEDC. In addition to his parents Mr. Sterken is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Sterken and brother, Edward J.
