Frenchy S. Hill

Frenchy S. Hill, age 86 of Ringgold, GA, formerly of Decherd, TN passed away peacefully on June 25, 2017. He was retired from CSX Railroad after 40 years and worked part-time for Walter Jackson Chevrolet for 10 years. He had served in the US Army and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Ringgold, GA for 48 years. Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert Preston Hill and Sadie Gipson Hill; seven brothers and sisters, Preston Hill, Dollie Hill, Jenny Ruth Williams, Claude Hill, Cheatem Hill, Polly Church and Jerry Ann Boyd. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary E. Dolly Hill; daughters, Patricia (David) Rieben of Decherd, TN and Katherine (Bruce) Manning of Ellijay, GA; son, Kevin (Melissa) Hill of Ringgold, GA; three granddaughters, Katie (Clayton) Sherman of Cowan, TN, Lauren (Daniel) Varnell of Flat Rock, AL and Isabelle Hill of Ringgold, GA; six great grandchildren, Ace, Ava and Amelia Sherman, Evie Mathis and Alden Varnell; one sister, Judy (Sherrel) Burch of Decherd, TN and his extended family which included many nieces, nephews and friends.
