Dorothy Louise Jacks, age 71 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on April 30, 1946 to the late Jessie Lee and Mary Lee Sims Bradford. Before her retirement, she was employed as a sewing machine operator at SAS Shoes in Tullahoma. Dorothy will be remembered as loving and caring, and for how she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Ray Jacks; daughter, Peggy Sue Wright; son, Jerry Wayne Jacks; and siblings, Junior Bohanan, Mary Helen Steele, Edith Bradford, Johnny Bradford, and Nancy Jacks. She is survived by her children, Billy Joe Jacks of Winchester, Tammy Louise Brewer of Shelbyville, and Junior Ray Jacks of Winchester; brother, Douglas Bradford of Belvidere; sister, Mary Lee Steele of Winchester; special granddaughters, Amber Jacks and Heather McBee of Winchester; fifteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
