They moved onto the Carroll farm where she took care of her mother-in-law for many years while working full time, farming and raising the girls. Faye was a hard-working woman who loved her Angus cattle, growing and canning food from the garden and driving the tractor in the fields. She also managed the books for her husbands business, Carroll Equipment Company. Faye inspired her daughters to understand there were no limits, even if you were female. She could drive and repair any of the farm equipment. Her desire for perfection led her to take over combining crops because she felt she could do it better than her husband. No one could plow as straight a row in her garden as she could. She was still bush hogging only a month ago. Two weeks prior to her knee replacement surgery in July she canned 84 quarts of beans. Cant was not in her vocabulary. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
