Davenport, IA Aimee Brown, 49, of Davenport passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Davenport. She was born on August 27, 1968 as the third child of Roger and Dixie Harrington from Washington, IA. The family moved to Davenport where she attended school, graduating from West High in 1986.
Aimee was formerly married to Eric Brown. On September 5, 1991, they had twins, Travis and Jessica. She worked in a law office and bank before enrolling in the RN program at Scott Community College. Two years were completed before symptoms of Huntington's Disease prevented her from continuing. She participated in several clinical studies through the University of Iowa Huntington's Disease Association.
Aimee is survived by her children, Travis Brown of Davenport, Jessica (Dane) Hopkins and children, Baizlee and Huxtin of Parkview; mother, Dixie Harrington; siblings, Monte (Lisa) Harrington and children, Mike and Ruthie, of Davenport, Troy (Nancy) Harrington of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Doree (Shane) Henderson and son Jacob of Urbandale; grandmother, Winnifred Crosley of Eldora; along with many extended family members. Aimee is a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, 14th and Brady St. in Davenport. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Anne Lippincott, 10:30 am, Tuesday, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Davenport. Visitation will be at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, 1200 E. 39th St, Davenport, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday. Interment will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family is so appreciative of the love and care Aimee received at St. Mary's Healthcare over the past seven years. They are grateful for the wonderful involvement of hospice during her final days, her massage therapists, Jeanette White and Sara Hougland, who came twice a week over many years for "I Love It" sessions, and all the people over the years who enriched her life.
