Helen Espinosa, 91, of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, passed away on October 18, 2017 in Fort Lupton, Colorado. She was born on May 11, 1926 in Brush, Colorado to Jose Martinez and Maura (Salinas). She married Salvador Espinosa on September 12, 1945 in Ft. Lupton, Colorado.
At the age of sixteen she was voted the most beautiful girl in Fort Lupton during Tomato Days. She worked for Fort Lupton's labor camp, canning factory, and Brighton Care Center. After her working years, she then became a homemaker watching her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, dancing, and coloring. Other interests included crocheting, watching novellas, and caring for her flowers. Her greatest memories were living on the farm and riding the tractors with her husband Salvador.
Helen is survived by; daughter, Patsy (Bob) Ruiz of Ft. ew (Bernadette) Espinosa, 11 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren and one on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, Salvador Espinosa, son, Ronald Espinosa, her parents Jose and Maura Martinez, brothers, Raymond Martinez and Larry Martinez, and sisters Elena Martinez, Gloria Martinez, Nellie Rios, Lupe Reyes and Mary Ramona "Boogie" Venzor.
The Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 7:00pm at St. William Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:00am at St. William Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
