Richard Richardson, 83, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery with military rites by the combined units of the V.F.W. Post 1565 and the American Legion Post #27. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation for Richard will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home Dress is causal attire/camo. Richard Ronald Richardson was born on October 9, 1934, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Glenn and Helen (Royster) Richardson. On April 27, 1961, Richard was united in marriage to Patricia L. Richard will be deeply missed by his wife, Pat; son, C. Scott "Scooter" (Michelle) Richardson of Muscatine; mother-in-law, Marjorie, Seright of Muscatine; grandchildren, Jody (Kelly) Nightingale, Jill A. Tompkins, Jennifer L. (Dusty Staley) Richardson, Katie (Edward) Saunders, Elizabeth L. Richardson, Matthew L. Richardson; great-grandchildren, Connor (Kaylee) Nightingale, Terrance Nightingale, Holly (fiancé, Eric Batchelor) LaRue,, Brandon LaRue Madison and Triston Tompkins and good friends, Larry and Pat Miller and Chris and Kathy Watson, all of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Lawrence L. Seright and sister, Shirley Myser.
