Mrs. Stephanie Colleen Dawes Binder, 35, of Washington, D.C. and formerly of Burlington, died Saturday, February 12, 2011, at her home.
Born March 28, 1975 in Willoughby, Ohio, she was the daughter of William and Joan Wagner Dawes. On December 17, 1999 she married Justin Blake Binder in Burlington.
Mrs. Binder was a 1993 graduate of Burlington High School, a 1998 graduate if the University of Iowa and a 2001 graduate of Virginia Tech. She was an engineer for National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Mrs. Binder attended Bethany Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and exploring new cuisine, bicycling, snow skiing and spending time with her friends.
Survivors include her husband, Justin Blake Binder of Washington, D.C.; her mother, Joan Dawes of Burlington; sister, Samantha Tarrence of Burlington and niece, Mikaela Tarrence.
Her father and grandparents preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, February 20th, in Lunning Chapel with a memorial service by the Rev. Trevor Davis at 3 p.m.
