Elizabeth "Betty" A. McGrane Ramm of Cedar Rapids died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Living Center West. Services: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, St. Matthew Catholic Church by the Rev. Steve Garner. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m., Monday at Teahen Funeral Home where friends may visit with the family following the rosary until 7 p.m., when a Vigil Service will be held. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday at the church after 9:30 a.m.
Betty is survived by her sons, Stephen McGrane of St. Paul, MN and David (Cheryl) Ramm of Keystone; daughters, Linda (Keith) Weber of Toddville, Beverly (Gary) Kotowske, Connie Fillenworth and Jane Ramm all of Cedar Rapids; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Kalisch of Cedar Rapids; a brother, James (Diane) Kinder of Little Canada, MN; and a daughter-in-law Sue Ramm of Cedar Rapids.
Betty was preceded in death by her husbands,Sylvester McGrane and Gerald Ramm, a brother, Wesley and his wife Annette, and a son-in-law Terry Fillenworth.

Dubuque, and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School there. She moved to Cedar Rapids in 1954. She married Sylvester McGrane in 1950 and following his death in 1984 she married Gerry Ramm on July 31, 1987 in Cedar Rapids. He died in 2011. Betty retired as a information specialist for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 1986 after 28 years. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church,
Betty had a great love for her Lord and loved to collect angels. She spent her quiet time reading, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed attending the theatre, dancing, and playing bridge with her friends. She was kind and will be remembered for her love of everyone, making cookies, and her wonderful margaritas. She was a very courageous and strong person who spent many years as a volunteer with the American Red Cross, and the American Cancer Discovery Shop.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Luke's Hospice and Living Center West for all of their loving and gentle care.
