fore retiring in 2005 and went back again for another 5 years before retiring the second time. Alberto was an ol'school gentleman, who still wore his suit to church every Sunday and believed in his faith and family. He was a member and deacon at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church. He also served as a deacon at Nazareth Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Pan American Golf Association and had a great passion for playing golf with his brothers, sons and nephews. Alberto could be found playing Santa Claus every year at the annual Christmas service at Santa Angela Gospel Center or countless days serving meals at the Wesley UMC Soup Kitchen. He coached Lakeview Little League for many years and loved every minute of it. Alberto had a smile that lit up every room he entered. He was an inspiration to those who knew him. He and Delma attended all the grandchildren's sports and school events, supporting them in all their efforts. The legacy of faith and family will live on through his example for generations to follow. His love of life and children, giving nature, and joyous heart will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Alberto will be cheering his beloved New Orleans Saints on from Heaven now! He was preceded in death by his parents (listed above); father and mother-in-law, Mike and Manuela Torres; and brothers, Jose and Fred Delgado.
