Esperanza also was very strong in her Catholic faith and raised her children to be the same, attending weekly mass and Catechism classes. Esperanza is preceded in death by her parents, Refugio Trevino and Maria Aguirre, her loving husband, Cayetano Ramirez, her son, Gilbert Ramirez, and her daughter, Noelia Ramirez. She is survived by her children, Blanca Ramirez of Weslaco, Mario Ramirez (Florinda) of Grand Prairie, Lupina Ramirez Gledhill (Jim) of Weslaco, and Hilda Garza (Jose M.) of Mission, her grandchildren, Cathy R Dawson (Leonard), Marc Ramirez (Rosalinda), Eric Ramirez, Idahlia Murray (Patrick), Leo Leija (Araceli), Crissy Leija, Robert T Salinas (Amber), and Stephany Garza, and her great-grandchildren, Elijah Dawson, Millie Ramirez, Alec, Allister, Jacob and Justin Salinas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25th, from 4-9pm, with a rosary at 7pm. Mass will be held on Thursday, October 26th, at 2pm, at San Martin de Porres in Weslaco, with burial to follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
