LaVonne A. Turner

LaVonne A. "Bonnie" Turner, age 78, passed away October 23, 2017, at UNMC in Omaha. Bonnie was born September 27, 1939, in Portsmouth, Iowa, to the late Robert F. and Catherine M. (Ohlinger) Huebner. She was united in marriage to Francis "Frank" Turner on January 26, 1957, and to this union sons Brad and Darin were born. Bonnie moved to Council Bluffs in 1957, and she became a model for Beno's Dept. Store, she later worked at Council Bluffs Savings Bank, and for many years was Office Manager at the Council Bluffs Veterinary Clinic. She also worked at Cerv's Golf Range and was a member of St. Peter's Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Huebner; sisters, Clarice Lengemann and Karen Carleson. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Frank of Council Bluffs; sons, Brad (Nicci) Turner of Altoona, Iowa and Darin Turner of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 grandchildren, Logan Turner, Michelle Nielson and Michael Turner; great grandchild, Brantley Nielson; sister, Roberta "Berti" Peth of Council Bluffs; brothers, Marvin (Deanna) Huebner of Persia, Iowa, Merle (Alice) Huebner of Ankeny, Iowa; sister-in-law, Marlene Huebner of Neola, ...[more]
